Terrible News
December 11, 2006
I was shocked and terribly saddened to hear this morning that Star C. Foster, who posed for the Philadelphia Portrait Project a few months ago, passed away suddenly Sunday. We only met very briefly, but Star struck me as a kind, generous, and wonderful person. She made me laugh many times during our 10-minute, lunch break photo session.
Star was an editor and writer at Phillyist, where she helped spread the word about the project, and her own blog Sarcasmo’s Corner.
Her boyfriend, Mike, and her family are in our thoughts.

I recently submitted 18th and Market to JPG Magazine for their issue 8, under the theme of intimate (which is not dirty, thank you). If you like me, click here and give it a yeah vote and help me get it published. I’ll be your best friend if you do!
We’re sleepy, alright?

Hi, all.
Sorry for the delay. Smarty Pants and I just moved and are currently living in Box City. I can’t even find pants, for goodness sake. We should be back with more images for your viewing pleasure by the weekend.

Special thanks to Joey Sweeney at Philebrity for throwing my hit count through the roof today. For everyone stopping by, make sure you say hello. I'd love to hear what you think. Also, special thanks to everyone else throwing people my way: BH over at The Clog, Rachel U., and Daniel at Philadelphia Will Do. They're all listed in the blogroll, so make sure you swing by their sites, too.

Man, I'm too lazy today to post any commentary on these two (this one here and the other below). Enjoy!

Another from a series I'm working on called "Secret Places." Basically, it's a series of images in Philadelphia completely devoid of any sense of humans. I thought it could be interesting to re-examine typically busy places (stairways, for one) when there's no one around.
