Feeling Generous?

April 17, 2006

If you look through this blog and hit the March posts, you’ll see I was in the Gulf Coast region of Mississippi to visit my dad and his family. My father grew up there and now that he’s retired he heads down for a month or two at a time to visit and hang out in the little house he bought. That said, I have a special connection with the land I spent a lot of summers in as a kid.

When I was in Gulfport and Longbeach, what struck me most was that I hardly saw any media attention to the plight of the people in Mississippi. The situation in New Orleans dominated headlines and television screens, at least in my opinion, and the people there really need a lot of help.

Through the months of May and June, I’m going to sell prints to anyone who’s interested in purchasing them. All of the money will be donated to families in Mississippi through the Mississippi Hurricane Recovery Fund. Any funds I raise will be matched through the fund. You can find out more here: http://www.mississippirecovery.com/

You can order any images you see here or through my Flickr site (click through the images to see those).

Prices are as follows:

4” by 6” are $15

5” by 7” are $20

8” by 10” are $30

I’m back from Mississippi and have started posting images to Flickr. This is the only one I’ll be posting here since it’s against my own self-imposed blog rules. Click through the picture to see the rest. As always, thanks for stopping by.
